How we verify information

Every fact on AcadScope comes from an official source, and every page shows the date it was last checked.

Where our information comes from

  • Colleges: the college’s own website and prospectus, and official lists such as AISHE (Ministry of Education), UGC, AICTE and the regulators for medicine, law, pharmacy and teacher education.
  • Rankings and accreditation: NIRF, NAAC and NBA, always with the year.
  • Scholarships: the National Scholarship Portal, state scholarship portals, ministry pages and the official pages of trusts and companies.
  • Competitions and programmes: the organiser’s official website.
  • Careers: course and career information from universities and government sources such as the National Classification of Occupations.

How we check it

  1. We collect each fact from the official page and record the link and the date we read it.
  2. A person on our team checks the record against the source before it is published.
  3. We re-check colleges, courses and careers every 12 months, and scholarships and opportunities every round (at least every 3 months).
  4. When a record is due for a re-check, the page says so until it is verified again.

What we never do

  • We never promise admission, results or a scholarship.
  • We never change fees, eligibility or rankings for money. Paid placements are always labelled “Sponsored”.
  • We never list paid contests whose organiser we have not verified.
