Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial (ASSM) College in Mukandpur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, was founded in the early 1990s and taken over by Guru Nanak Dev University on 4 July 2007 as a rural university college. Mukandpur lies about 8 km from Banga and about 20 km from Phagwara, Phillaur and Nawanshahr. Under the four-year NEP honours scheme it offers BA, B.Sc (Medical, Non-Medical, Computer Science, Economics), B.Com and BCA, plus a five-year integrated MBA, and postgraduate MBA, MCA, M.Com, M.A. Punjabi and M.Sc IT, with PGDCA and short certificate courses. The 20-acre campus has the Dr. S.S. Johl Library, six computer labs, science labs, an 80-bed girls’ hostel, a 400 m track, a gym and bus service from about 150 villages.

Admission
Admission through: Merit
Students fill the prescribed admission form, available at the college office, in person, and complete registration on the GNDU admission portal. Seats are filled on merit with Punjab reservation policy; for 2026-27 normal admission closed on 21 August 2026, with late-fee windows up to 18 September 2026. A first-semester age limit of 20 years applies to BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA and integrated MBA.
