It started in 2011 under the name Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) and was later renamed. The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, and is recognised by the National Medical Commission. It admits 100 students each year to the MBBS course through NEET-UG, and it also runs MD programmes for doctors through NEET-PG. Several two-year paramedical diplomas, such as laboratory technology and X-ray technician courses, are taught alongside the degree programmes.

Admission through: Entrance test
