About Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University
ABVMU is the Uttar Pradesh state medical university in Lucknow that affiliates medical, dental, nursing and allied health colleges.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University was created by a Uttar Pradesh Act of 2018 and began functioning in 2020. It is an affiliating university for government and private medical, dental, nursing and paramedical colleges across the state. Students join its affiliated colleges, not the university directly, mostly through NEET counselling.
