About Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology
SCRIET is the engineering and management institute on the CCS University campus in Meerut, set up in 2002 and running B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, BBA and B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science.
Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology, usually called SCRIET, is a constituent institute of Chaudhary Charan Singh University and works from the university campus in Meerut. It was set up in 2002 and its programmes carry AICTE approval. The four-year B.Tech is offered in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Chemical and Agricultural Engineering. Since the 2022-23 session it has also run a two-year M.Tech in Computer Science and in Electronics and Communication. For management and computing, students can choose BBA, BBA in Hospital Administration, MBA, MBA in Hospital Administration, MCA and a three-year B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science. Most engineering, MCA and MBA seats come through AKTU counselling, while the other courses admit on merit. Hostel seats are limited.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit, Lateral
B.Tech, MCA and MBA seats are filled through AKTU state counselling, and seats left vacant after counselling are filled on merit. B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science, BBA, BBA (Hospital Administration) and MBA (Hospital Administration) admit on merit only. Diploma or B.Sc holders can join B.Tech in the second year through lateral entry. Applicants register on the CCSU forms portal, fill the form and pay the fee online.

- Bachelor of Science: Studying in: Class 12; Science stream usually required; universities set subject and minimum mark rules
- Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
- Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
- Master of Computer Applications: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent
- Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
