Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology is a private university in Baddi, Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, with engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management, science and agriculture schools.

Baddi University was set up under Himachal Pradesh Act No. 21 of 2009. It grew from the School of Engineering and Emerging Technologies, which opened in 2002 under the Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE) society. Its schools cover engineering (B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA), management (BBA, B.Com, MBA), sciences (B.Sc, M.Sc), pharmacy (D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm), nursing, allied health and agriculture. The campus is at Makhnumajra in the Baddi industrial area. In 2025-26, B.Tech CSE fees were about ₹74,700 per semester including exam and welfare charges.

Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Merit

Apply online through the university website; the application fee is ₹1,500. Professional courses admit on a merit examination conducted by the university or by Central or State government agencies, while other courses admit on marks in the qualifying exam. Merit lists are posted on the website, and selected candidates get an offer of admission, attend counselling with their documents and confirm the seat by paying the fee.

• Bachelor of Science: Studying in: Class 12; Science stream usually required; universities set subject and minimum mark rules
• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture: Studying in: Class 12; At least 50% marks in Class 12; at least three of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (Agriculture may count); minimum age 16 as on 31 August of admission year
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Studying in: Class 12; Stream: Science (PCB); Must have studied: English; At least 45% marks in Class 12; minimum age 17 on 31 December of the admission year
• Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
• Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
• Master of Computer Applications: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent
• Master of Pharmacy: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Pharmacy; At least 55% marks in UG; B.Pharm from a PCI-approved institution; registration with the State Pharmacy Council (required by JSS AHER within one month of admission)
• Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
• Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
• Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
