About Indian Institute of Management Lucknow
The fourth IIM, founded in 1984 at Prabandh Nagar, Lucknow, offering a two-year MBA (PGP), an agri-business MBA, a four-year BS in AI and Business Analytics, and a PhD.
IIM Lucknow was set up in 1984 and has a fully residential campus of more than 190 acres, plus an executive education campus in Noida. Its two-year PGP leads to an MBA and admits students through CAT, a written ability test and an interview. In 2025 it launched a four-year residential BS in AI and Business Analytics through JEE Advanced, with a fee of Rs 5 lakh a year. Need-based IIML scholarships are given on family income.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Interview
MBA candidates are shortlisted on CAT score, academic record and work experience. Shortlisted candidates take a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. The BS in AI and Business Analytics admits students through JEE Advanced, and the PhD accepts CAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT or UGC/CSIR JRF scores.
Typical eligibility
- Bachelor of Science: Studying in: Class 12; Science stream usually required; universities set subject and minimum mark rules
- Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
- Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
