The Institute of Management Studies grew out of the integrated MBA that Kurukshetra University started in 2003 and became a separate institute in 2005. Its best-known course is the five-year integrated MBA, where students earn a BBA after three years and an MBA after five, choosing finance, marketing or HR from the fourth year. A four-year BBA (Hons.) was added in 2020-21, and the institute also runs a regular two-year MBA filled through the university entrance test. The institute page mentions a dedicated library, a computer lab with 54 systems, smart classrooms, guest faculty from industry and campus placement visits. For 2026-27 the handbook lists a first-year fee of about Rs 74,000 for the BBA (Hons.).

Admission
Admission through: Merit, Entrance test, Interview
Undergraduate and integrated seats are filled on the merit of Class 12 marks; candidates apply online on the Kurukshetra University admission portal (IUMS) and can list several programmes. For the 2026 session the online window ran from 7 to 31 May, followed by merit lists from 8 June and classes from 15 July. The four-year BBA (Hons.) and the five-year integrated MBA are filled on Class 12 merit with 50 percent marks and English. The two-year MBA is filled through the Kurukshetra University common entrance test, with group discussion and interview used for the self-financing stream.
