J.C. Bose University in Faridabad is a Haryana state university, formerly YMCA Institute of Engineering, with NAAC A+ accreditation.

The university traces its roots to the YMCA Institute of Engineering, started in 1969, and became a state university under a Haryana Act in 2009. It sits on Mathura Road in Faridabad, about 30 km from Delhi. It offers B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc and B.Voc at undergraduate level, and M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Sc at postgraduate level. NAAC gave it an A+ grade in 2022, and NIRF 2025 placed it in the 151-200 band for Engineering.

Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Merit

B.Tech seats are filled through Haryana State Technical Education Society counselling, and leftover seats go by JEE Main rank at institute level. BBA, BCA, B.Com and similar UG courses admit on Class 12 marks, while B.Sc science courses use Class 12 marks or CUET scores. MBA and MCA use a university entrance test, and M.Tech uses GATE scores first.
