About Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University
Shekhawati University is a Rajasthan state university in Sikar, set up in 2012, that runs PG departments and affiliates colleges in the Shekhawati region.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University was created by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 2012 and is based on Nawalgarh Road at Katrathal, Sikar. It affiliates many government and private colleges in Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu districts. Programmes under the university include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA and B.Ed, and postgraduate MA, M.Sc and M.Com, with PhD research in several subjects. Its own campus runs postgraduate teaching departments. Admissions are largely merit-based, and students from the Shekhawati belt can study close to home at modest government fees.

Admission
Admission through: Merit, Entrance test
Admission is mainly on merit: Class 12 marks for UG and a bachelor's degree for PG. Students apply on the university website, may sit a departmental test for some courses, and then attend counselling with their documents.
