Patliputra University was formed by the Government of Bihar in 2018 and is administered from Kankarbagh in Patna, with a permanent campus planned at Beur. Several well-known Patna colleges, such as A N College, now come under it. Undergraduate options include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA and B.Ed. Postgraduates can study MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA or MCA. Admission
Admission through: Merit, Entrance test
Students apply through the Samarth admission portal by registering, choosing subjects, uploading documents and paying the form fee. Undergraduate seats are given on merit using Class 12 marks. Postgraduate courses need a bachelor's degree, and PhD seats go through the PhD Admission Test.

- Master of Arts: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; three- or four-year bachelor's degree; subject requirements vary (e.g. DU M.A. Economics needs Mathematics in Class 12 or 4 credits of Mathematics in the degree)
