Patna Science College began in 1927 as the science wing of Patna University and started working as a separate college in 1928. Its campus of about 28 acres lies on Ashok Rajpath along the Ganga in central Patna. The college has departments of physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, zoology, botany and geology, and teaches B.Sc honours and M.Sc courses in these subjects.
