Rani Avantibai Lodhi Vishwavidyalaya is a new state university in Sagar, set up in 2024 to affiliate and run undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the Sagar division.
Rani Avantibai Lodhi Vishwavidyalaya is one of the newest state universities of Madhya Pradesh. It was created in 2024 to take over the affiliation of government and private colleges in the Sagar region, which earlier looked to other universities. Its office is on Rajghat Road in Sagar city. Through its own departments and affiliated colleges it offers general degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA and BCA, along with B.Ed, LLB and M.Com. Affiliated colleges include Government Kamla Nehru Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Damoh. Admission for most courses goes through the state online counselling system, so students from Sagar, Damoh and nearby districts can apply after Class 12.

Admission
Admission through: Merit
Undergraduate seats in the university and its affiliated colleges are filled through the Madhya Pradesh higher education online admission and counselling process, on the basis of Class 12 marks. Postgraduate admission is based on graduation marks through the same state process. B.Ed and law seats follow the separate state counselling and merit rules for those courses.
