Sardar Patel University, Mandi is a Himachal Pradesh state university started in 2022 that teaches PG courses on its Mandi campus and affiliates colleges in five districts.
Sardar Patel University came into existence on 1 April 2022 under a Himachal Pradesh government notification and works as a residential-cum-affiliating state university from Mandi. Its jurisdiction covers colleges in Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba and Kangra districts. On campus it runs two-year PG courses: M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science and Industrial Chemistry, MBA, MCA, and MA in History and Public Administration, with PhD research in several subjects. Each course has subsidised and non-subsidised seats with different fees.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit
Most campus PG courses, including MBA, MCA, M.Sc Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and MA History, admit through the SPUCET entrance test followed by counselling. M.Sc Environmental Science, M.Sc Industrial Chemistry and MA Public Administration admit on merit. A bachelor degree with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST) is needed.

- Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
- Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
