About Uttarakhand Ayurved University
Uttarakhand Ayurved University in Dehradun is the state government university for Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy education, set up under a 2009 state Act.
Uttarakhand Ayurved University was created by the Government of Uttarakhand under the Uttarakhand Ayurved University Act, 2009, and its main campus is at Harrawala on Station Road in Dehradun. It is the state body that runs and affiliates AYUSH colleges, so most students join for BAMS, BHMS or BUMS after NEET-UG. The university also offers MD and MS in Ayurveda specialities, PhD research in subjects such as Shalya Tantra and Rasa Shastra, and diploma and certificate courses. Admission to UG and PG seats is through its own centralised counselling, which opened for 2026-27 in late September.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit
BAMS, BHMS and BUMS seats are filled on NEET-UG scores through the university's own centralised UG counselling (UAUC). MD and MS (Ayurveda) seats need a BAMS degree and a valid AIAPGET rank, followed by UAU PG counselling. PhD candidates need a relevant master's degree and clear the university's research entrance test, with NET-JRF holders exempted.
