About Siddaganga Institute of Technology
Siddaganga Institute of Technology is an autonomous VTU-affiliated engineering college in Tumakuru, started in 1963 and graded A++ by NAAC.
Siddaganga Institute of Technology, or SIT, was set up in 1963 by the Sree Siddaganga Education Society, founded by Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji. It sits on a campus of about 50 acres in Tumakuru, roughly 70 km from Bengaluru, and is an autonomous college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. Undergraduates can choose from B.E. branches such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical and Biotechnology, or the five-year B.Arch. Postgraduate options include M.Tech specialisations, MBA and MCA, and the college also supports PhD research. It is approved by AICTE and holds an A++ grade from NAAC.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit, Lateral
B.E. seats are filled through KCET, COMEDK, JEE or an equivalent score, along with management quota, following Government of Karnataka and VTU rules. B.Arch needs a valid NATA score and at least 50% in Class 12 with Mathematics. M.Tech admission uses GATE or Karnataka PGCET, while MBA and MCA use KMAT or PGCET.
