About Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College
Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is an autonomous engineering college in Ludhiana, run by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust and affiliated to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University.
GNDEC was started in 1956 by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust, which had opened a polytechnic on the same campus in 1953. It became autonomous under the UGC in 2012 and is affiliated to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The 87-acre campus on Gill Road, Ludhiana, runs B.Tech in seven branches, B.Arch, BCA, BBA, B.Com and B.Voc, along with M.Tech, MBA, MCA and PhD. NAAC has accredited it with an A grade.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit, Lateral
B.Tech admission is based on JEE (Main) or IKGPTU norms, with 85% of seats for Punjab candidates and 15% for others. Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates can join B.Tech in the second year through lateral entry. BBA, BCA and B.Com need Class 12 in any stream, while M.Tech, MBA and MCA need a relevant bachelor's degree.
