IIM Ranchi was set up in 2009 and its campus is at Prabandhan Nagar on Nayasarai Road, Ranchi. It runs two-year residential MBA, MBA (Human Resource Management) and MBA (Business Analytics) programmes, and a five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) with a BBA exit after three years. It also offers an Executive MBA, a PhD and an Executive PhD. NIRF 2025 placed it 18th among management institutions.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Interview
MBA, MBA-HR and MBA-BA admissions use CAT scores and the institute's published admission criteria. Selected candidates confirm their seat by paying the first-term fee on the admission portal. IPM admits on IPMAT scores (conducted by IIM Indore) and needs at least 60% in Class 10 and Class 12 (55% for SC/ST/PwD). The Executive MBA and PhD have separate applications.
