MANIT Bhopal is a National Institute of Technology run by the central government, offering B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc and PhD programmes.

MANIT began in 1960 as the Regional Engineering College in Bhopal and is now one of the National Institutes of Technology funded by the Ministry of Education. Its campus covers about 650 acres. Undergraduates join B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Plan through JEE Main and JoSAA counselling. Postgraduate options include M.Tech, M.Plan, MBA, MCA and M.Sc, along with PhD research.

Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Interview

B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan seats are filled through JEE Main and JoSAA counselling, with CSAB rounds for vacant seats. M.Tech admission uses GATE and CCMT counselling, MCA uses NIMCET and M.Sc uses JAM. MBA candidates need a CAT, MAT or CMAT score and then face a group discussion and interview. PhD selection is by written test and interview.

• Bachelor of Architecture: Studying in: Class 12; Stream: Science (PCM); NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 as required by the institution
• Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
• Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
• Master of Computer Applications: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent
• Master of Planning: Studying in: UG; B.Plan, B.Arch or B.E./B.Tech (Civil or Planning); SPA Vijayawada asks 60% or CGPA 6.5 (55% or 6.0 for SC/ST)
• Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
• Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
• Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
