About National University of Study and Research in Law
NUSRL Ranchi is a Jharkhand state national law university, set up in 2010 and ranked 30th in Law in NIRF 2025.
The National University of Study and Research in Law was set up under the NUSRL Act, 2010, an Act of the Jharkhand State Legislature. Its campus is at Nagri on the Kanke–Pithoria Road in Ranchi. It offers five-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) courses, an LL.M., a PhD in full-time and part-time modes, and some PG diploma courses. NIRF 2025 placed it 30th among law institutions.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test
B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. seats are filled through CLAT. The university then publishes its own merit lists for vacant seats and may hold spot admission rounds. PhD admission has a separate notification.
