About Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences
SGPGIMS is a postgraduate medical institute on Raebareli Road, Lucknow, set up in 1983, offering DM, MCh, MD, PhD, nursing and paramedical programmes.
SGPGIMS was set up in 1983 under an Act of the Uttar Pradesh legislature. It trains doctors at super-speciality level (DM and MCh), offers MD and PhD, postdoctoral fellowships and senior residency. Admission
Admission through: Entrance test
B.Sc Nursing admission is through an All India entrance test held by the institute. - Doctor of Medicine: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery; MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate recognised under the NMC Act 2019; permanent or provisional registration with NMC/State Medical Council; one-year internship completed by the cut-off date; NEET-PG qualification
- Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
- Master of Surgery: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery; MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate recognised under the NMC Act 2019; permanent or provisional registration with NMC/State Medical Council; one-year internship completed by the cut-off date; NEET-PG qualification
