University Institute of Technology (UIT) was set up in August 1997 as the College of Engineering of Barkatullah University, a state university on Hoshangabad Road in Bhopal. It runs AICTE-approved B.E. programmes in civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication, information technology and mechanical engineering, together with M.Tech and MCA programmes, and it also lists an M.Sc. scheme. The institute says it has five undergraduate and six postgraduate programmes in all. It has a training and placement cell and links students to NPTEL and other online course platforms. Admission
Admission through: Entrance test
Barkatullah University publishes a common admission notice for its teaching departments each year, and UIT posts counselling details for its B.E., M.Tech and MCA seats on its own site. Applicants should follow the counselling schedule announced for the current session. Fees are paid online through the MP Online portal.

- Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
