The institute, formerly Government Engineering College Raipur, was set up in 2006 at Sejbahar on Old Dhamtari Road. Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Lateral

B.Tech admission uses the state Pre Engineering Test (PET) conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, and JEE scores are also accepted. Candidates need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 45 percent (40 percent for reserved categories). Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates with 50 percent can enter the second year through lateral entry.

• Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
• Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
