About Computer Science and Engineering Discipline, IIITDM Jabalpur

The Computer Science and Engineering discipline of PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur runs a four-year B.Tech, a two-year M.Tech and a PhD programme on the Dumna Airport Road campus.

This is the computer science teaching unit of PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, a centrally funded institute in Jabalpur. It offers a four-year B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, a two-year M.Tech and a PhD programme. The B.Tech starts with a common core in mathematics, mechanics and programming, then moves to data structures, databases, operating systems, networks and algorithms, and ends with electives such as machine learning, cyber security, blockchain, cloud computing and IoT, plus a final project or internship. Research groups work on image processing and computer vision, machine intelligence, and IoT and embedded systems. B.Tech entry is through JEE Main.

Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Interview

B.Tech seats are filled once a year, in July, on the basis of JEE Main, and Class 12 must include Physics and Mathematics. Foreign nationals come in through DASA. PhD admission is announced through institute advertisements, and the integrated M.Tech plus PhD route has needed a valid GATE score in Computer Science followed by an interview.

Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
