Dibrugarh University is a public state university based in Dibrugarh town in Upper Assam. It has 21 teaching departments and 15 study centres covering languages, social sciences, sciences, commerce, management, law, journalism and performing arts. Its engineering wing, the Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology, was started in 2009 with Government of Assam approval and runs AICTE-approved B.Tech in CSE, ECE, Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering. The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, set up in 1983, runs a four-year B.Pharm and an M.Pharm, with all courses approved by PCI.
