DUVASU is the Uttar Pradesh state veterinary university in Mathura Cantonment, set up in 2001, teaching veterinary science, biotechnology, dairy technology and fisheries.
DUVASU was created by the Uttar Pradesh government under U.P. Act No. 27 of 2001 and started on 25 October 2001. Its campus is in Mathura Cantonment, about 5 km from Mathura Junction. The university runs five constituent units: the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, the College of Biotechnology, the College of Fisheries Science, the College of Dairy Science and the Institute of Para Veterinary Science. Besides the five-and-a-half-year B.V.Sc. and A.H. course, it offers B.Tech in Biotechnology and Dairy Technology, M.Sc and M.Tech in biotechnology and dairy science, M.V.Sc., and PhD. Admission is through its own UGEE, PGEE and diploma entrance tests.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test
Admission to all degree and diploma courses is through the university's own entrance tests. UGEE covers B.V.Sc. and A.H., B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Dairy Technology and B.F.Sc., while PGEE covers M.Sc, M.V.Sc., M.Tech and PhD. For 2026 the online forms ran from 15 February to 15 April, followed by online counselling.

- Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
- Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
