Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati is a NAAC A+ state university whose campus colleges teach engineering, pharmacy, arts, sciences, commerce, management and computer science.

Sri Venkateswara University is a public university in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Its campus colleges are the SVU College of Arts, College of Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Commerce, Management and Computer Science, and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Together they offer B.Tech and M.Tech, B.Pharm and M.Pharm, more than twenty MA subjects, nearly thirty M.Sc subjects, M.Com, MBA, MCA and PhD research. The university also conducts LL.B. and LL.M. examinations. NAAC accredited it with an A+ grade in March 2023 for five years, and the campus has a library, stadium, health centre, women’s hostels and internet facilities.

Sri Venkateswara University admits students to its campus colleges through the Andhra Pradesh state entrance tests and counselling for professional and postgraduate courses. Notifications and schedules are posted on the university website. PhD admission follows the university research admission notification.

Typical eligibility

• Bachelor of Pharmacy: Studying in: Class 12; Science subjects as specified by PCI Education Regulations; institution must be PCI-approved for the degree to count for registration
• Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
• Master of Arts: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; three- or four-year bachelor's degree; subject requirements vary (e.g. DU M.A. Economics needs Mathematics in Class 12 or 4 credits of Mathematics in the degree)
• Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
• Master of Commerce: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; B.Com (Hons/Pass) or equivalent such as BBA, BMS or BBE (University of Delhi)
• Master of Computer Applications: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent
• Master of Pharmacy: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Pharmacy; At least 55% marks in UG; B.Pharm from a PCI-approved institution; registration with the State Pharmacy Council (required by JSS AHER within one month of admission)
• Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
• Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
• Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
