Vignan’s University (VFSTR) is a deemed-to-be university at Vadlamudi in Guntur district with programmes in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, law, management and sciences.

Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research is a deemed-to-be university with its main campus at Vadlamudi, near Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. It groups about two dozen departments into schools covering engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, management, law, agriculture, food technology and the basic sciences. Undergraduates can choose four-year B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, along with BBA, BCA and B.Sc, five-year BA LLB (Hons), and the integrated teacher education programme. Postgraduate options include MBA, MCA, M.Sc, MA English, M.Tech and M.Pharm, while Pharm.D, a polytechnic diploma and PhD research are also offered.

Admission

Vignan's University accepts online applications through its admissions portal for UG, PG, diploma and PhD programmes. Admission follows the selection process announced by the university for each year. Diploma holders can join B.Tech through lateral entry into the second year.

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture: Studying in: Class 12; At least 50% marks in Class 12; at least three of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (Agriculture may count); minimum age 16 as on 31 August of admission year
• Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
• Integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws: Studying in: Class 12; At least 45% marks in Class 12
• Master of Arts: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; three- or four-year bachelor's degree; subject requirements vary (e.g. DU M.A. Economics needs Mathematics in Class 12 or 4 credits of Mathematics in the degree)
• Master of Business Administration: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline
• Master of Computer Applications: Studying in: UG; At least 50% marks in UG; BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent
• Master of Pharmacy: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Pharmacy; At least 55% marks in UG; B.Pharm from a PCI-approved institution; registration with the State Pharmacy Council (required by JSS AHER within one month of admission)
• Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
• Master of Technology: Studying in: UG; Enrolled in: Bachelor of Technology; At least 50% marks in UG; B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline; GATE score preferred
• Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
