R.R. Institute of Modern Technology, the main college of the R.R. Group of Institutions, was set up in 2008 by the Sri Ram Niwas Rukmani Devi Trust on NH-24 at Bakshi Ka Talab, on the Sitapur Road side of Lucknow. It is approved by AICTE and its degree courses come under Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. B.Tech is offered in computer science, computer science and design, AI and machine learning, IT, electronics and communication, electrical, civil, mechanical and biotechnology. The group also runs an MBA, polytechnic diplomas in five engineering branches and a D.El.Ed course. The 45-acre campus has a hostel, library, science and engineering labs, a CNC lab, a gym and an incubation centre.

Admission
Admission through: Entrance test, Merit, Lateral
RRIMT admits B.Tech and MBA students through the state technical university (AKTU) counselling after the relevant entrance test, and polytechnic students through the state technical education board process. The institute also takes online registrations for the 2026-27 session on its website and publishes its own merit lists for seats it fills directly.
