About Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur

JNKVV is a state agricultural university in Jabalpur, set up in 1964, with colleges of agriculture, horticulture and agricultural engineering.

JNKVV was set up by the Madhya Pradesh government in 1964. It runs several colleges of agriculture across the state, a college of horticulture and a college of agricultural engineering. It offers bachelor, master and doctorate programmes in agriculture, forestry and agricultural engineering. Some programmes carry ICAR accreditation.

Admission

Admission through: Entrance test, Merit

Undergraduate agriculture seats are filled through counselling run by the university using entrance scores. Postgraduate and PhD admissions follow separate counselling notices on the website. Contact the admission cell for details.

Typical eligibility

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture: Studying in: Class 12; At least 50% marks in Class 12; at least three of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (Agriculture may count); minimum age 16 as on 31 August of admission year
Bachelor of Technology: Studying in: Class 12; Must have studied: Physics; Must have studied: Mathematics; At least 45% marks in Class 12; one more subject from the AICTE list (e.g. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
Master of Science: Studying in: UG; bachelor's degree in the relevant subject; two-year M.Sc after a three-year bachelor's or one-year M.Sc after a four-year bachelor's; universities set their own marks
Doctor of Philosophy: Studying in: PG; At least 55% marks in PG
